Tasty, a confession after one year “We are actually Chinese, but we prioritized activities in Korea”

The twin duo, Tasty, carefully revealed.

This is the first time, an entire year after their debut in July last year, that they have public announced this information. Even though their nationality would have eventually been revealed, to debut and promote in Korea, there’s always the worry of prejudice.

It’s not necessarily due to their more stable situation now, but because their close celebrity friends know their nationality and introduce them by saying “These are our Chinese friends Daeryong and Soryong” and it would be strange for them to just keep silent about it. They made a guest appearance on a radio show hosted by Miss A’s Jia & Fei and Super Junior M’s Zhou Mi where they all spoke Mandarin.

"After revealing our nationality, a weight has been lifted. There’s no longer a need to explain why our Korean pronunciation isn’t perfect or not fluent. We’re more confident.". Their new jack swing styled single Day N Night/떠나가/ 离开 being praised as "fresh, the best of performances" could have been the foundation of this confidence.

Day N Night/떠나가/ 离开 was a tribute to 1990’s new jack swing legend, DEUX. The choreography style was also similar to the 90’s.

Tasty have been titled a “performance duo”, previously choreographing all their dances, but this time handed the responsibility over to another choreographer. Tasty said, “Even though we have our own style, we felt that having a dance style that followed the style of the music would be better”, “The style is completely different from before, so the audience can see a bigger change.”

While performing Day N Night/떠나가/ 离开 on music shows, Tasty felt that the audience’s cheers were much better than for MAMAMA performances 3 months ago, local fansite member counts also went up to 14,000 from these promotions. “After MAMAMA, we were invited to do more promotions/activities, we may be even more busy after Day N Night/떠나가/ 离开 promotions.” Tasty expressed their anticipation.

In the 3 or so months break before the Day N Night/떠나가/ 离开 comeback, Tasty saw new prospects for development, and that was the Chinese market. After a merger with Woollim and SM Entertainment label, they got the opportunity to perform at Beijing’s SM Town concert on 19 Oct 2013. Tasty were the opening act in front of a packed stadium of 70,000 people, it was their first time performing onstage in China, and received an enthusiastic response. They also performed at SNSD’s Hong Kong concert and gained over 40,000 fans on Chinese SNS site, Weibo.

However, they have no formal plans to promote in China yet, they said they want strengthen their position in Korea first, then go to China and other countries to promote.

"We are K-POP stars. We left China at 18 and stayed in Korea, and even debuted in Korea, so we wanted to be recognised in Korea. No matter where else we promote in the world, we will not cease activities in Korea."

На 13-ти момчетата издадоха като сингъл Addiction от албума им Spectacular- оригинална и нова версия. На мен това ми дойде като гръм от ясно небе.Този импровизиран comeback е за да не ги забравят корейските фенове и доколкото разбрах промотирането ще е само една седмица. Иначе те скоро ще дебютират в Китай.

За  Addiction наистина странна изненада. Танцът много ми хареса и са големи сладури по музикалните предавания.

Имаме вече и китайските версии на You Know me и Day'N Night. Още ми е странно като слушам тези версии, но започват и да ми харесват. Радвам се, че поне така са активни.

През септември участваха в концерта на Zhang Li Yin, през октомври се включиха в SMTOWN в Шанхай, а през ноември - в Star Love Concert in Chengdu. Присъствали са на Pop Idol Asian Performing Art Awards, които са се провели на 16.11 и на Golden List Award Ceremony на 28.11.

Записвали са епизод на 2 Days 1 Night.

Много ми е жалко, за тези младежи.

През 2015 обявяват  в личния си акунт в Weibo, че ще се завърнат в Китай откъдето са, и че няма повече да промотират в Корея.

Впоследствие от WOOLLIM отричат, даже казват, че се готви завръщане. Отричат и наистина напускат в края на 2015/2016.

Впоследствие започват да промотират  под име DLXL , накрая го променят на Hanch兄弟 (Hanch Brothers)
